Eating
One of the delights of visiting Vietnam must be the amazing cuisine. There are said to be nearly 500 traditional Vietnamese dishes. Food is generally superbly prepared and very reasonably priced. The unique flavour of Vietnam culinary is largely due to the use of the uniquely Vietnamese fermented fish sauce or “nuoc mam”, an abundance of fresh vegetables and herbs, and the dominance of rice. The promixity of the country to the sea, and having two major deltas within its borders, has ensured the use of fish and seafood in many dishes.
